After much prayer and discernment, the people of Golden Ridge have decided to close as a congregation. Their final worship service was on Sunday, June 16, with a sanctuary full of people sharing memories of the past and hopes for the future.
In closing, the people of Golden Ridge have two legacy hopes: 1. To support the development of a new faith community, and 2. To develop a Community Center organization housed in this building to serve our neighborhood.
We honor the diversity and resilience of the people in our neighborhood. We believe in a God of death and resurrection. We believe that God is indeed doing a new thing again in this place, through Golden Ridge Lutheran Church.
We are listening and exploring the gifts and needs of our neighborhood. Please participate in one of the upcoming Neighborhood Gatherings! Good food and time to connect and share hopes and needs and gifts of our neighborhood. Come to one or all four!
What could a new faith community be like?
How can a Community Center organization best serve the people of this neighborhood?
